Tết Nguyên Đán là một trong những dịp lễ quan trọng nhất của người Việt Nam, được tính theo Âm lịch và thường xảy ra vào khoảng tháng 1 hoặc tháng 2 Dương lịch. Tết cũng được biết tới là ngày lễ đón chào năm mới ở các nước châu Á khác như Trung Quốc, Hồng Kông, Macao, Singapore, Đài Loan, Thái Lan, Indonesia, Malaysia và Philippines. Vào ngày Tết, người Việt Nam nấu những món ăn cổ truyền, đi thăm họ hàng bạn bè, vãn cảnh chùa, dâng mâm cơm cúng bái tổ tiên, và lì xì cho người lớn tuổi và trẻ em. Năm 2015 là năm Ất Mùi, tượng trưng cho một năm tràn đầy năng lượng, trí thông minh và sự khoẻ mạnh.
